Mermaids aren’t alone to live in imaginary underwater wilderness. Here are 6 of the amazing mer-creatures you could find, were you to dive deep enough. In the silence of the sea, if you remain very quiet and still, you may have the chance to see one…

THE MERCAT

I had always wondered why I never seemed to be able to see more Mercats. Well, now I know. They can’t survive long, poor things. It’s too tempting for them to eat a bite of their fish tail hanging there. Darwin tells me they stand no chance as a species…

THE UNIPPOCAMPUS

They’re half-unicorn half-seahorse, so you can imagine they live only in parallel dimensions. When you do see one though, it will look at you straight in the eyes and if you smile, a golden starfish will be born somewhere in the sea.

THE HUMMING-OCTOPUS

The humming-octopus is an essential part of any imaginary ocean ecosystem, as it help new fake anemones to grow. It can swim incredibly fast and yet remain at the exact same place. But its main characteristic is that, of course, it can also fly. And so humming-octopuses often live a double life, both under the ocean and above the ground.

THE TURBOCEROS

Let me introduce you to the very placid Turboceros. Round and flat, they’ve got a special power: they can breathe through their horn. And when they breathe out under the sea, they create vividly rainbow-colored bubbles.

THE LEMURORCA

Funny little creature that loves seaweed, lives deep in the sea and knows a way to Atlantis… Maybe they’ll tell you, if you tell them a good joke and feed them something rare!

THE DEERPHIN

It is a very kind, very playful species. Just as its cousin the dolphin, it is a mammal. It is often seen surrounded by small fish that find its antlers very convenient to play hide and seek.

Which one would you make friend with? :D 🐟

In any ways, I wish you to cross many amazing creature’s paths in you future explorations!
